Software Engineer

Position Description
SRC is seeking a software developer/ test engineer. The candidate should be qualified to plan and perform software-development work, and plan and test software.
Responsibilities include
- Planning and performing software development
- Planning and conducting software tests
- Working independently and collaboratively in a project team
- Reporting status of technical work and project progress
Position Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in computer engineering, electrical engineering or computer science; a master's degree is desirable
- A minimum of five years experience in software development and testing
- Applied knowledge and experience developing and testing software in a JAVA J2EE environment
- Demostrated understanding of software development life cycle, including documentation and testing
- Experience using Struts programming with Tiles
- Understanding of SQL with JDCB programing
- Applied knowledge and experience in Basic, UNIX/Solaris and Windows system administration
- Applied knowledge and experience performing Java programming
- Applied knowledge and experience developing and testing both Linux and Windows applications
- Experience building and testing network applications
- Experience building test-bed networks for automated regression testing
- Experience with unit-level software testing (and/or red-teaming) experience
- Experience using anti-virus/malware-detection programs, intrusion-detection systems, firewalls and standard operating system features
Security Clearance Requirements
An active Top Secret/SCI security clearance and current CI polygraph are required.
