Software Engineer

Position Description
SRC is seeking a software developer/ test engineer. The candidate will be developing and testing new capabilities at a customer site in the Northern Virginia area.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to
- Planning and performing software development
- Planning and conducting software tests
- Working independently and collaboratively in a project team
- Designing, building and testing software development kits and plug-ins supporting Windows platforms
- Building Microsoft applications
- Coding on Intel and AMD platforms
- Building test-bed networks for automated regression testing
- Software configuration management, SourceSafe, CVS and migrating from SourceSafe to CVS
- Full life cycle software development including delivery cycle and documentation development
Position Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, electrical engineering or computer science; a master's degree is desirable
- A minimum of five years experience in software development and testing
- Experience with C++, Visual Studio and Visual programming required
- Experience developing and testing Windows applications (Windows 2000, XP, 2003 Server, Windows Vista) and testing applications on a Genesis Linux box is required
- Unit-level software testing supporting network software is required
- Software reverse engineering techniques (e.g., IDAPro and SoftIce)
- Public and non-published exploit familiarity
- Computer/network hacker techniques/methodologies; to include application and mitigation techniques experience
- Experience with intrusion detection programs, firewalls and standard operating system features such as Kaspersky, Norton/Symantec, McAfee, Zone Alarm, Windows, and AVG-AV
Security Clearance Requirements
An active Top Secret/SCI security clearance and current CI polygraph are required.
