Currently SRC is seeking database administrators for future business opportunities in support of Navy information operations (IO) activities in the Norfolk, Va., area.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to
- Provide operational support of computer hardware and software (system and applications) as well as system and user date files within database systems
- Provide maintenance of all user/system data files, data verification following system restoration/recovery procedures and data format conversion procedures during the import and/or export of data
- Provide database reporting/printout support
- Support development of operating procedures and user technical manuals for a variety of database systems (e.g. Oracle, Sybase, .NET)
- Support data collection activities and production of database libraries
- Support data format and standardization tasks and other activities associated with data assurance and integrity of data at rest or in motion
Position Requirements
- Eight years or more of experience providing database and associated database systems administration support similar to that described under responsibilities
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of applicable technical concepts and practices
- Sun certified systems, oracle professional database and cisco network professional certifications required
- DoD 8570 IAT level I certification desired
- Experience supporting Navy activities desired
- Experience with military databases such as those supporting computer network defense tasks or other SIGINT related databases a plus
Security Requirements
An active Secret security clearance and current investigation are required.
